The nature of reality is marital

Jesus Christ reveals the true reality of the cosmos. One way of seeing this endless multifaceted revelation is through marriage. It’s not a new concept, but it’s a deep one that can be mined again and again.

Jesus brought us God’s invitation to intimate union with himself. From the moment of the Incarnation, the divine was joined to the human. Jesus during his public ministry declared about marriage, “What God has joined no man must separate.” Yet this is precisely what the Crucifixion attempted to do. It was the ultimate rejection of the marriage between heaven and earth.

The Resurrection said in effect, “The invitation to my wedding feast has been rejected, yet there are those who did not reject it, and there will be those later who would not reject it, so here is this invitation emphatically and irrevocably offered again!”
